Mumbleberry Camphor Laurel Wood Serving Board
Naturally antibacterial and stunning to use, our Mumbleberry Camphor Laurel Serving Boards are a multi purpose, multi benefit addition to any home.
Introduced to Australia in 1822, the Camphor Laurel Tree, while beautiful, remains an incredibly invasive species. Many native gums that Koalas rely on can't compete with this aggressive evergreen. Luckily Fab Slab, (a Sunshine Coast business) have come to the rescue!
Located just north of Brisbane, Fab Slab are cleverly combatting the widespread feral Camphor populations by transforming them into attractive Chopping & Serving boards. They even have the blessing and support of the Sunshine Coast Council!
Kiln dried and naturally anti-bacterial, these boards will last a lifetime when cared for properly. We recommend a neutral oil like a Grapeseed oil to keep your board in wonderful condition and to only wash with warm soapy water (never in the dishwasher). Much like the iconic cast iron skillet, your Camphor Laurel board can be a family heirloom piece if cared for correctly.
